Game Format

Four-Ball

Modified Foursomes

Modified Foursomes

In four-ball, each member of a two-man team plays his own ball, so four balls are in play on every hole. Each team counts the lowest of its two scores on each hole, and the team whose player has the lowest score wins the hole. If the low scores are tied, the hole is halved.

Modified Foursomes

In foursomes, each two-man team plays one ball per hole with the players taking turns until each hole is complete. BOTH players hit tee shots, with the preferred shot being chosen, players will alternate shots until the ball is hole. The team with the low score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.

Singles

Singles

In singles, each match features one player from each team. The player with the lower score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.

Scoring + Winning

Winning & Retaining the Buhl Cup

The team retaining the Buhl Cup will only need 12 points to win. The opposing team will need 12.5 points to secure the Buhl Cup


In the event of a tie, a 5 hole singles match will be held between (2)  players of the captain's choosing. If the playoff is halved. Those two players will have a closest to the pin challenge on Hole 9 (1 shot each). Closest ball to the pin will win the Buhl Cup for their team.

Rules

USGA Govern Play with the following Local Rules

· Yardages devices with slope are permitted

· Lift, Clean and Place from all lies

· One ball rule is not in effect

· Entire perimeter and all wooded areas are treated as a lateral hazard, drop maybe taken within two club lengths of entry point

· All putts to win a hole must be made or conceded
